Pizza has a long history, complex and uncertain that often inspire much debate. Origin of the word "pizza" is unclear, but it first appeared 997 years in the Latin Middle Ages.


    At that time, pizza is a baker, a dough that is used to determine the temperature of the oven. Food of the poor people, pizza is sold on the street and has not been considered as the famous recipe. Before the 17th century, pizza covered with white sauce. Then replaced by oil, cheese, tomato or fish.

      In 1843, Alexandre Dumas, explains the diversity of complementary pizza. Month of June 1889, in honor of the Queen of Italy, Margherita of Savoy, a chef Neapolitan Raffaele Esposito created the "Pizza Margherita", a pizza filled with tomato, mozzarella cheese and basil, to describe the color of the flag of Italy.
